IPL 2008 - Shane Watson
The award was given to Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Shane Watson in the first season of IPL. Rajasthan Royals won their first trophy in 2008. Shane Watt took 17 wickets and scored 472 runs, including four half-centuries. He was also Man of the Match four times in the 2008 IPL. The most runs in the series were scored by Shaun Marsh of Kings XI Punjab, but Shane Watson also became the tournament's best player for his great contribution in bowling.

IPL 2009 - Adam Gilchrist
Adam Gilchrist of Deccan Chargers was adjudged Player of the Tournament in the second season of the IPL. In IPL 2009, there was a clash between eight teams and Gilchrist scored a total of 495 runs and sent 18 batsmen to the dressing room. Matthew Head of Chennai Super Kings scored 572 runs this season, but Gilchrist became the best player for his contributions in wickets like stumping, run-outs and catches. Gilchrist also became the player of the match twice in this second season of the IPL.
IPL 2010 - Sachin Tendulkar
Tendulkar became the Player of the Series by scoring 618 runs in the third season of IPL. Tendulkar scored four fifties and won the Man of the Match award four times. His highest score was 89 against Rajasthan Royals. Tendulkar played a total of 15 matches this season, but Mumbai Indians did not win the 2010 trophy. The team performed well in all league matches and won 11 out of 14 matches and Tendulkar performed well in each match. In the tournament, Deccan Chargers' Pragyan Ojha took the maximum 21 wickets.

IPL 2011 - Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle of Royal Challengers was named Player of the Series in the fourth edition of the IPL. Gayle performed well both with bat and ball. Gayle scored 608 runs in 12 matches and took eight wickets. He has been man of the match six times with two centuries and four fifties. His highest score in IPL 2011 was 107. Chris Gayle single-handedly led RCB to the finals. However, Royal Challengers lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final.

IPL 2012 - Sunil Narine
Sunil Naren of Kolkata Knight Writers won the Player of the Series award for taking 24 wickets in 13 matches of the tournament. He was a Man of the Match three times against Kings XI, Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians. Gayle has been the top scorer since last season scoring 733 runs in 14 matches this season.
IPL 2013 - Shane Watson
After IPL 2008, Shane Watson also appeared in IPL 2013. He scored 543 runs in 16 matches and took 14 wickets in IPL 2013. He was voted Man of the Match once this season. For Rajasthan Royals, Watson had scored a century and a half-century. Michael Hussey of Chennai Super Kings has scored the most runs this season.
IPL 2014 - Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell of Kolkata Knight Riders won the Man of the Series award in the IPL 2014 season. He scored 552 runs this season and took one wicket in 16 matches. He scored four fifties, two over 80 and over 90 runs. Maxwell has been Man of the Match four times. Robin Uthappa has scored 660 runs this season, while Chennai Super Kings' Mohit Sharma has taken the most 23 wickets.
IPL 2015 - Andre Russell
Andre Russell of Kolkata Knight Riders became the Player of the Series in the IPL 2015 season. Russell scored a total of 326 runs and took 15 wickets. Russell also won the Man of the Match award three times. David Warner of Sunrisers Hyderabad has scored the most runs this season. He scored a total of 562 runs. Bravo of Chennai Super Kings took a total of 26 wickets.
IPL 2016 - Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli won the award by scoring a total of 973 runs in IPL 2016. This is the highest run scored by any batsman in the IPL. Virat played a total of 16 matches in the 2016 tournament, including the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Virat has scored a total of three centuries and seven fifties this season. In IPL 2016, Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Sunrisers Hyderabad took the most 23 wickets, the most wickets taken by any bowler in a season.

IPL 2017 - Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes of the Rising Pune Supergiant won the Player of the Series award in the 2017 tournament. He scored 316 runs in 11 matches and took 12 wickets and with this contribution the RPS team reached the final. However, Delhi became the capital champion. Devin Warner has scored the most 641 runs this season.
IPL 2018 - Sunil Narine
After winning the Player of the Match award in the 2012 season, Sunil Naren of Kolkata Knight Riders also achieved the feat in 2018. In IPL 2018, Sunil Narine scored 357 runs and took 17 wickets. He was Man of the Match three times out of 17 matches. Ken Williams of Sunrisers Hyderabad has scored the highest 735 runs this season.
IPL 2019 - Andre Russell
Kolkata Knight Riders were named Player of the Series by Andre Russell in the 2010 season. Russell scored 510 runs in 13 matches and took 11 wickets. Russell was Man of the Match four times. Sunrisers Hyderabad's David Warner scored the highest with 692 runs and Imran Tahir of Chennai Super Kings took the highest 26 wickets. Mumbai became the Indian champions by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final match.
